"The way to treat virtually all of the so-called chronic diseases of aging is to treat insulin itself".
Addressing Insulin "cuts to the chase" in the quest for health merry-go-round.
What is Insulin?
Because of our high sugar and carbohydrate diets our pancreas is working overtime to pump out lots of Insulin. Remember, Insulin is the messenger that brings sugar to the cells to be burned. But our muscle cells can become "immune" to Insulin. They no longer open up and accept the sugar in our body's. We have become Insulin Resistant. So Insulin adapts, instead of bringing the sugar to your muscle cells it starts bringing it to your fat cells where it gets stored. And your fat cells never shut their doors!
